Yes indeed this attempt to skew the vote for Donald is another Republican snafu that they're trying to keep under the radar along with allegations of their failure to comply with consent decrees in multiple states. Nobody should be allowed to approach voters at their voting precincts and there are legal filings in several states. I remember back when I early voted in "05 that I was approached outside the county court house by a Democrat who urged me to vote the party which I called in because no party should be at the precinct for any reason but to silently observe. Each election cycle stupidity rears its ugly head and we are faced with incidents such as these.

What else can Republicans do aside from Gerrymandering and voter suppression? Trickle down isn't selling, and not enough deplorables to win.

And they're going to keep doing it because they've either covered their asses from up high enough to get away with it and/or if they get caught the price to pay was worth the effort in dollars or favors owed.

And besides, God told them it was their duty to break the law and that they would be rewarded for it in the afterlife.

I'm really glad the courts are coming around to respecting voting rights again. I first got involved (a bit) in that field in the mid-1980s-back then EVERY judge treated the right to vote as one of, if not THE, most sacrosanct right we have and frowned mightily on any partisan effort to impair it-regardless of the judge's political leanings.

One of the biggest tragedies in American jurisprudence was the tendency of GOP leaning judges in the last two decades to start to approve blatantly partisan efforts to impair the right to vote in the name of sham efforts to police out nonexistent fraud. Now it seems like most judges have come back around to where they were a couple of decades ago and actively protecting the rights of all Americans in this regard.

Now if only the Supreme Court would get ballsy and outlaw the century+ old practice of gerrymandering, which has gone on steriods in these days of computer analysis. Sometimes the district lines literally flip from one side of a street to another now.

You know I continue to hear that the Democrats are the liberals and then when I step back and take a look I'm somewhat taken aback. Lets see, the party that promotes diversity and unity, has a candidate that has managed to stay married through it all, a mother and grandmother (sounds kinda family oriented to me folks) yet on the other side of the break somewhere in the twilight zone being married three times is okay even though my bible says that if you divorce your first wife any relationship afterwards is adulterous. Then there's the I'm rich so I can do what I want to women attitude. How can a supposedly God fearing church (in reality it's religion only and has left its first love) support garbage like that and hurl insults across the aisle? God never supported the church being involved in anything but preaching the gospel which is the mandate of the church along with showing love and mercy and charity to the poor and oppressed. In a nutshell everything that the Republicans aren't yet the denominational churches align themselves with them.

I often bring up the woman at the well as an example of what Jesus expects for Christians to do, which many times is not easy, as he stood between her and the religitards of his day who wanted to publicly stone her to death even though they themselves were not spotless and without blame. Yep religion always finds a way to do the wrong thing which is why there are really very few Christians around and I don't profess to be the most shining example among them. Over on the right they condemn the LBGT community and openly don't want them in their assemblies even though they are supposed to reaching out to people like that. I'd think that I'd rather go to a gay bar than go to church and be around those hateful birds. I don't agree with abortion outside a bona fide medical need but at the same time I feel like a person has the right to do what they will with themselves. People do all kinds of things like overeat, smoke, drink and act lazy (sounds like the religious people who condemn the right to choose) but don't want for you to tell them what to do with themselves. It sounds like a case of the pot calling the kettle black. It would be like you coming over and complaining about how my yard looks and over at your house the grass is dead, the plants are unwatered and your trees are all dead but you want me to take care of mine rather than get your ducks together first in that area. Nobody can take religious leaders seriously anymore when they do this junk and the prosperity preaching is just pure bunk. Jesus was poor as were his disciples as they worked for a living outside of the church to support themselves. A carpenter and 12 commercial fishermen who didn't get paid by the church so remember that next time you walk into your denominational assembly and see your paid pastor and other paid church members.
