NBC's HD coverage of the olympics is sucking.

So I'm watching the HD coverage of the winter olympics on NBC, and right now there's a frozen image of the women's moguls. I can still hear the announcers talking. I totally missed Jennifer Heil's gold medal run. NBC sucks :thumbsdown:.

Just a frozen image of 2 of the competitors standing next to each other. It finally went away when they went to commercial. :roll:

lol that sucks...i do notice how nbc's video isnt that great even on "High Definition" which I have...its a bit blurry
 
It did that here as well from channel 7 BOS MA. just kidna foze the image while sound kept going. then it started switching from hd to sd and then back again. Anyways the image quality is still better than 5, but i wish fox was able to show at least some content.

So it wasn't my local affiliate then. Good to know.
 
My coverage (Cox Cable) of the opening ceremonies was pretty bad. Every 30 seconds or so was really pixelated and blurry.

Don't know if it's the source or my feed.

yeah this was ota too so it weeds out comcast as being the problem.

I was seeing a whole bunch of pixelation and audio cutouts too during the opening ceremonies too.

EDIT: I get my HD feeds through my samsung t151 OTA receiver.
 
NBC's HD feed HAS been having issues this evening, primarily due to a blizzard in NY. My local affiliate had switched to the SD feed on their DT channel, so other than the aspect and obvious lack of HD, I didn't notice any issues.

That said, I just checked five minutes ago, and everything looks fine.
 
They finally dropped back to non HD on the DC affiliate tonight. It had to be an NBC problem because it was happening on both my DirecTV HD feed and Comcast cable.
 
Same here... I am in Bethlehem, PA and my NBC HD channel has been "dropping out" for seconds at a time all night long. This is the first time this has ever happened for me over the past three months, and it's annoying as hell.

EDIT: I forgot about the blizzard for a minute there... no doubt that is part of the issue.
