FACT: NBC pulls out early....
NBC has apparently been "forced" to sell @ $1.99/TV episode. This morning reports said a lack of bundling was their main deterrent in deciding not to renew. Reason led everyone to believe that Vivendi was just exercising market power by pulling it's ENTIRE audio and video cataloged.
As it turns out NBC pulled out because they wanted $4.99 per ep. and stricter DRM.
*SPECULATION: Apple has decided not to post NBC's new fall lineup for the remainder of the contract
..they are going to get burned for this. They have DVR's and Bittorrent to worry about, and now they pull out of the most ubiquitous and profitable digital DRM-protected distribution system to date.
