Had you actually played the clip, you would find NBC never stated all Americans would be chipped. Further, this piece was done in 2007 as a ten-year prediction of the kinds of things we'd find. Note that this dishonest nutter site makes no mention of this clip being seven years old, though it is apparent if you listen to the clip talking about "in ten years".

The claims are conspiracy theory nonsense. The 2007 NBC report suggested that microchips might be used in the future to record a person's medical data in case of emergency. It did not state or even imply that all citizens would be mandatorily microchipped. This is just the latest incarnation of a long running and utterly absurd conspiracy theory that claims - without a shred of credible evidence - that various governments were intent on forcibly microchipping their citizens in order to control them. ...

Yeah, that's it. We totally had to watch the clip to learn that the same government that can't even build a freakin' web site or get the IRS on one working network won't really have every American microchipped in three years.

Frankly it would have been a more believable story had it said that Google will have every American microchipped in three years.

Maybe, just maybe everyone can be chipped with no biblical repercussions.
Everyone is chipped, better national security, no more illegals presumed as citizens, better border control, less identity theft, less crime, and all while the people wait around for the clouds to part and the trumpets to sound, but they never do.
Then people realize, gee, it was simple micro-chipping after all.

Like my sister always says, things are getting so bad that the rapture must be near.
And I say, what if things just get really bad with no rapture?
Maybe people might wise up and start voting smarter here on earth, care more about the environment, and take a little responsibility instead of just keep doing the dumb with thinking some holy event will save the day.
