NBC and its geriatric olympic coverage evening program

So I get home around 7PM and two channels are ending their olympic coverage programs. Bob Costas is the only option. After a minute of Michael Phelps hype, they go to commercial: first one is about adult diapers, the second is about cholesterol medicine. That tells me of what is about to come: diving and jumping around, for the 65+ American audience. They are showing the same thing as yesterday, those guys jumping on a wooden horse. I hope one of them smashes his balls in that pummel horse.

And then they go on pretending Phelps race is still to come (only 15 minutes, now!). It was around noon Central. I'm sure some people don't grasp the idea it's the middle of the night in Athens now, so they can go around fooling people (I do believe many people don't realize this, and they don't mention they delay on purpose). Of course, they did worse in 2000, when they were showing events of the day before, at the same time there were events taking place that could have been broadcast live. I gave up watching when the games were in Atlanta.

Well, too bad. I just regret I just started to pay extra for stupid local channels like these networks.

DTV just gave me 6 months of local channels for free.

That's about what they're worth.
