Did you see earlier in the game when Richard Jefferson did a similar thing in the first half? Absolutely flew over Alonzo. I'll have a look for a vidcap.

Ok then ... I'll stop looking for it :p

Edit: 'Zo just doesn't have the same presence anymore. He didn't even try to put any of those guys on their ass. Still, I suppose just the fact that he's still playing is a bit of a medical miracle.

Offensive foul, Zo shoots two at the other end.

It's hard to block a guy's shot, when he is allowed to throw a huge elbow into your ribcage.

There are never foul shots on an offensive foul ... ;) And hey, the Heat got the call when they really needed it at the end :)

looking at the video again, it's definitely not an offensive foul. an offensive foul would have been Vince using his off arm to shield Zo's block attempt. no way that would ever be called an offensive foul.

Yup, Zo gets posterized and Vince has the game winning shot blocked by Wade and Zo.. Zo is not a shell of himself, he still disrupts a ton of shots and has been playing very well on both ends of the court.

no way thats an offensive foul...first off vince did'nt push off or hook or anything, and secondly zo jumped to contest the shot...how can it be an offensive if he doesnt have his feet fully planted.

and i dunno, zo never looked like he really wanted to put either of them on thier asses. hes just not the same

uh, Zo used to be a 20/10 guy. yes, he's a shell of his former self. he's effective, but he's no where near his prime.

I've probably watched 85% of the Heat games in the past 10 years, trust me when I tell you, that on the defensive end, Zo looks almost as great as ever. Of course he has lost a step, he is no longer in his 20's and went through major surgery.. But as a Pistons fan you know he had an impact in the Eastern Finals last year and if given the minutes this year he can average 10 boards/2 or more blocks per game.

like i said, he's effective, but to say he's not a shell of his former self......he used to be an all-star level talent and now he's a solid role player.

I think the old 'Zo would have reacted more quickly and sat VC on his butt there, but that's my opinion. Anyhow, that wasn't even close to an offensive foul. If anything it should have been an "and one".

IMHO, it could be said that Vince is a shell of his former self. However, he still sees himself as an all-star and can't be a solid role player.

Once the defender jumps to block the shot, pretty much anything goes or it's a foul on the defender...

Boggsie clearly doesn't know what he's talking about, especially with the two shots comment.

what??

Look at Vince's number this season and last season after he joined the Nets:

http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/players/3248/career

they're the best of his career. the analogy of Zo's career and VC's career is waaaay off. Vince will be an allstar this season, easily......well unless he gets hurt, lol.

That's probably the second major facial in this thread. :p those stats are awesome in comparison.

He's still talented, except now he can't d!ck around with teammates like Jason Kidd and Richard Jefferson bringing the effort every night.

anyone have the Kobe dunk where he jumps over half of the Bullets (?) and dunks it over some guy. I use to have that video. I remember the announcers saying Kobe jumping for the rafters and making someone a poster. Please post if you have that as I would love to have that video again. Thanks!
