NBA Trade Rumor...

Heard about that this morning on Tony Bruno, its bs. Some sports writer outta NY is writing this cuase he doesn't want to talk aobut baseball.

bibby is a shooter...i don't think kings need a point gaurd..they already move the ball pretty damn well.....in fact i do want them to make this trade..booo kings! hehehe...goo lakers!!!....the vlade/webber/bibby screen roll is pretty effective in their offence...i donno why they would want to disrupt it...

Wonder if Kidd would be interested. He is from the Bay Area so he would be close to where he grew up. I like Mike Bibby but I think Bobby Jackson is better than him.

The thing with Bibby is that he is nothing without Webber, and that is a big No No... Bibby & Webber is a great duo; a la Stockton & Malone.

i cant compare bibby vs. stockton but webber is no malone.

If Kidd plans to leave NJ, this is probably the best option for Nets since he is an unrestricted free agent. Get something in return rather than letting him go for free.

I was convinced Kidd was going to San Antonio, but after seeing the series, I don't think that could ever happen. It will be interesting to see where Kidd lands, but I don't think Sacramento is a good "fit" for his game. His game would fit very well with the Pacers though, or perhaps even the fakers. Of course, the fakers can't pay him, so they're aiming for GP.

Interesting trade rumor amish.

I guess this would work if Kidd wanted the money badly and wanted out of NJ. Otherwise don't the King's have a mid-level exception? So couldn't Kidd sign the mid-level and the Kings would keep Bibby and Turkaglu?

It would be a battle for playing time.

The Kings likely won't spend their exception, since they are over the Lux Tax (unless Keon and Vlade decline their POs).

This is, in fact, an interesting trade rumor. One thing that makes it tough, for the Nets at least, is that Hedo is a FA after this year. So, if he doesn't resign, you're talking about Kidd for Bibby straight up.

And when you think about it, Dallas is likely prepared to offer a package that might contain better talent (it'd be interesting to see what Raef could do in the eastern conference).

If the Mavs did Finley and Van Excel/Nash for Kidd, they'd have to go with that.

That however, would take the Mavs from being a multi-weapon team to being a Kidd/Nowitzki team. Much easier to defend than Nash/Finley/Nowitzki/Van Exel

I don't think they'd give up Finley. But Nash and Lafrentz? In a second.

You have to understand there are two sides to the game, and Kidd is a better defender than Nash and Van Excel put together.

I say that if the Nets cant keep Kidd then they should at least try to get Nash.

That's my point. If you were the Nets, would you rather have Nash and Lafrentz (although he's got a crappy contract) or Bibby and Hedo, and the knowledge that Hedo might not resign next year?

It's a tough call.

Bibby for Kidd is like exchanging Shaq for Duncan, what are you really gaining by going thru the trouble? And the Mavs are NOT going to give Finley and Nash for Kidd. Kidd isn't *that* good. Finley and Nash are both all-stars, the trade is lopsided. And who would play SG for the Mavs in place of Finley? Van Exel can't, he is too smallish and better suited to the point. The trade solves nothing for the Mavs, so it's not gonna happen. The best thing for the Kings is to stay put. They have a great team, the best in the WC in my opinion. Disrupting the chemistry by exchanging Kidd for Bibby isn't going to get them over the hump. What will get them a championship is if Webber can stay healthy, then they are pretty much the best team in the NBA. Now if they could trade Webber for Kevin Garnett (who can stay healthy), then you might have something there...
