Van Horn getting shipped around again?

And I bet Mohammed is a little miffed now that he was actually getting some playing time for the Hawks. I like Nazr, being a former UK player on our '98 National Championship squad :D.

Just heard about the deal.
From a Knicks perspective, I wonder how much better have they gotten? TT is no where near the offensive threat KVH is. Nazr for Doleac is just a swap of backup Centers.
They're a bit more athletic...only the playoffs will tell how great of a deal it is.

Joel Pryzbilla played high school ball ~30 minutes from where I live. I'm cool.

yeah i'm not really convinced that this makes the Knicks better. KVH has been playing well lately. Tim Thomas seems to be more athletic, but i don't see him as a whole lot better than KVH. KVH gives them rebounds and a three point threat.

i guess we'll see how it pans out.

My thoughts exactly. I think this further proves Isiah Thomas' love for the white basketball player.

Doleac's white too, isn't he?

Kinda sad that no matter how hard KVH tried to play, the stigma of being soft apparently would continue to loom around him.

especially when you consider he averages around 7-8 rebounds a game. i'd say that's not being soft.

i really don't get this move, they were just starting to play well together. now they have to relearn all sorts of stuff. i guess TT will be the starting SF now.

i guess it makes sense, KVH and Alan Houston really did have similar roles (except Van Horn was rebounding well).

if there is ONE reason to trade Van Horn it would be because he really can't D SF or PF positions.

no. i think isiah thinks he can whip timmy into shape. he's a great talent, but hasn't really worked on his game to the point where he can be considered good, similar to darius miles

KVH is a notorious playoff choker.
Maybe zeke is sure they'll get to the playoffs.

And who says that zeke is all behind this, maybe lenny had something to do with this.

Yeah, we were stacked in the middle back then. Mohammed, Magliore and Michael Bradley. The '98 team was the most prolific shot blocking and rebounding team in UK history. How about Nazr's shot at the end of that Vandy game in Nashville? I sure hated when Mohammed left early for the NBA.

Nazr and Thomas should both be good for the Knicks.

New York got more athletic by aquiring Tim Thomas. This will be perfect for stephon and great when Rasheed arrives. Keith Van Horn was good though. He just needs to go the Mavericks.

ya, nazr is the wild card here. if he can be a better center than Mutumbo, then they did good. if nothing else nazr will be a better backup than doleac, doleac is ok for a few J's and such but he isn't a great Center.
