Go Bullets!!! We are pretty good this year...for the east.

You must be a big fan. They haven't been the Bullets for a while.

If you meant the Wizards, they look pretty tough this year. G. Arenas is the man.

And I'm a Bulls fan.

fvcktard. to the 'real' fans they will always be The Bullets.

Easy there. My post came off meaner than I meant it, just a little dig to a Washington fan. You guys took the Bulls out of the playoffs two years ago, and I'm still bitter.

Have a

Was just browsing the NBA standings. "Yep, West still rules. Detroit is the #1 seed out East, but would be like the 6th seed out West, pathetic. Oh God, look at those poor, poor Celtics."

And then I saw the record of the Mavericks. 43-9! That's winning 83% of their games!

Then it dawned on me. These Mavericks would have to go 30-0 in the final 30 games to break the record of 72-10 set by the Bulls in 1995. I can barely wrap my head around how amazing that season was.

BTW, I'm just some random Pistons fan. But a big sports history guy. Just found this to be pretty neat. Must have been awesome to be a Bulls fan back in the Jordan era.

heck yeah it was really fun :) but then it sucked when he played baseball then returned, then lost a little, then won then retired then came back with wizards and sucked.

edit: well he never did suck cuz he was MJ but it was very disappointing with the Wizards.

Jordan was responsible for de-throning the great Pistons of the late 80s/early 90s, so it was hard for me to enjoy his time in the league. I was always pissed at him.

I'm from NY... Jordan was a Knicks KILLER. He's probably the main reason Ewing never got a championship.

i'll concede that the europeans have definitely stepped up their game in the last 10-15 years, but do you think jordan, malone, bird, johnson, barkley, stockton or any of the orginal dream teamers would've settled for anything less than a 20+ point victory in the gold medal game? they weren't only the best of their era, several of them if not all are one of the best in the game ever.... EVER. basketball is for chumps these days.

Says the nerd who probably spent $2K on his PC. Yea, real wannabe chumps.

I watched 80%-90% of MJ's professional games in the 90's, and I remember telling myself how lucky I was to be witness to it all. It was awesome knowing that the Bulls had a chance of winning every single game they played. The 1 1/2 years he was gone were some of the most aggravating times, watching them lose to Orlando and the Knicks.

It would be interesting to see if Dwayne Wade will have the same effect. He can win the game single-handedly in the 4Q anytime!

The best in any era is one of the best in the game ever, no matter how you slice it.

When Jordan was with the Bulls he had people around him that made him shine, and he made them shine. When he went to the Wizards, well, you can't polish a turd.

Truth, can't make kwame brown shine no matter how hard you try.

so if kobe bryant makes kwame brown shine in the coming years, is kobe better than jordan?

Unless Kwame gets over his butter fingers he's gonna have problems. Kobe tried and tried but I can't remember how many times in the suns/lakers series that Kwame dropped balls that could've sealed it for the lakers and pull off a big upset.

No one will ever break the Bulls record for the mere fact that there is more competition. Just look out West. Almost any team in the west that makes the playoffs has a legit shot of making the NBA finals, you cant say the Bulls faced competition like that in the early to mid 1990s.

You kidding me!?

Obviously you have never watched basketball during the early to mid 90's. The reason why it seems like the Bulls doesn't have many competition because they were just so dominant. You telling me Orlando with Penny and Shaq, Utah with Malone and Stockton, Cleveland with Brad Daughtery(sp), Mark Price, Greg Ehlo, and company, The Lakers with Magic Johnson, James Worthy, Bryant Scott. The Celtic with Robert Parrish, Kevin McHale, Seattle with Payton and Kemp, Houston with Hakeem and company are not good competition?

If you ask me, the NBA now is a league of medicrocity. Utah now is 35 and 17 and who's on the team? Carlos Boozer? LOL.

It's like saying Roger Federer dominance is due to lack of competition. Well you win all the time, other players don't have chance to win any chance so they wouldn't as well know as if Roger Federer is not playing right? Get the point!?

and not just him... Drexler, Perkins, Daugherty and quite a few others (who am I forgetting? probably a good list!) might have rings without Jordan.
