btw in a scrimmage vs Puerto Rico a few days ago, Team USA beat them by 30+ pts. i suspect tonight will be much of the same.

I can't afford expanded cable... I don't have ESPN2 anymore. Guess I'll just watch live cast on ESPN.com.

that what they say every year when they see Team USA's lineup on paper.......it'll be interesting to see how Team USA will actually play together as a team....

it'll be interesting to see who emerges from Team USA as the leader. every player on the team is used to being "the man" on their NBA squads. taking a back seat as a role player will be tough for their egos. they can't all dominate the ball.

also, big man play will be interesting to watch. Tim Duncan vowed to never play for the international team again. he was always frustrated because his game just doesn't fit the international game. Team USA's bigs need to be agile and run the floor, not post up and bang in the paint.

But Kobe is going to the Summer Olympics though, right?

Why is there a Team USA game right now? I thought they only played in the Olympics.

USA lead cut 9-6.

Puerto Rico is making Team USA's full court press look silly.

Carlos Arroyo looking aggresive. you know he wants a strong showing vs. the USA.....gotta love his fire.

Wade and Anthony have been good for Team USA so far.

I'm seeing terrible ball movement and defense by USA. They're acting like it's the all-star game :(

If they just put in the Miami Heat, they would win by 50+ points...easily.

i'm excited to get extended looks at Chris Paul, too.

he just got back to back assists.

Puerto Rico up 20-19

oh no.

Miami's half court offense would get embarassed in the international game. Shaq would get run ragged. Wade could lift the team by himself, but the game is so different on the international level.

i do agree that Team USA needs to stop treating this like an all-star game and start doing all the gritty stuff to win.

Team usa making a run w/ some defensive plays.

end of the 1st quarter, USA up 29-26.

nothing impressive at all. USA had some nice individual highlight dunks, but the score is still tight.

Come on,this is Purto Rico, they have only one NBA player and Carlos Arroyo plays about 15 minutes a ball game, so you really can't say he's an actually NBA contributor to his team.

I guess the rest of the world have really caught up to the USA if we can't beat them about 40 points like the First Dream Team did to every international team.

Bird, Magic, Jordan....
