NBA switches back to leather ball

I didn't know that they were using leather balls before. Then again, I think basketball is pretty boring, so there you are 😛

Carter said
"If it would've hit like that? Heck no," he said. "No way."
Kidd said
"It didn't rattle. It just stuck," Kidd said. "The old ball maybe just hits the rim and bounces out. But you're going to see a lot of those balls maybe get stuck and roll in or get stuck and roll off. We were very fortunate that it stuck and rolled in."

spalding makes the leather and microfiber composite ball. i wonder how many people are actually getting cuts from the ball. it just seems a bit weird that a ball is cutting up all these players but only Dirk and Nash are mentioned complaining.

lots of complaints on the ball. considering they said they would not go back i am kinda suprised they are.

but they have said scoreing is up. but i guess so is finger injuries

I'm going to believe my previous experiences over their rubbish media comments.

Well I'm sure you've had more experience playing basketball than Vince Carter and Jason Kidd.

I've played a lot of basketball in my day. Ever think that they are just making those comments to make controversy over the ball?

Ever think why there's a controversy over the new ball? If it made no difference why complain and possibly cause yourself a fine?

I'm not going to argue with some armchair basketball analyst. It doesn't make a difference anyway. Believe whatever diarrhea spews out of a player's mouth.

I would beleive a player who has to deal with the ball every day. one that makes his living from the ball etc. over the media or anyone else.

but thats just me.

same here, except it's $99.
All you need to do is watch this video to know the knew ball is CRAP

Anyone who thinks that is normal needs their head checked or go shoot some hoops again.

A jump hook or baby hook from 5-8ft away will do that. Even a short jumper that is lobbed up with almost no force may do that.

Not, I repeat, NOT a freakin 30ft three ball. That shot should have charomed off the back of the rim right back at Vince Carter or shot straight up in the air.
