NBA playoffs which stars have been born?

I noticed that in this playoff a number of new names that people usually don't pay attention to, left out of the allstar game has came up huge.

5.) Rober Horry (If you were down by 20 points in the 4th quarter, you would want him on your team. First Houston now LA)
4.) That white center with the New Jersey Nets whats his name?
3.) Paul Pierce (Was he even in the All Star game?)
2.) Tony Parker (20 years old!)
1.) Mike Bibby (Ice baby Ice)

the white center for the nets is todd macculloch...he was the backup for the sixers last year...he's been decent this year...he really sucked last year in the playoffs though...

paul pierce was in the all star game...he had a breakout year this year, even though he was always good...

bibby is finally starting to get used to the kings offense...

go kings! kings and celtics in the finals!

Bibby and Parker vis-a-vis Derek Fisher.

Pierce, Kidd, Horry (just confirmed his MO of making huge shots in the playoffs) established their reps before the PO's.

i would say Dirk Nowitzki from round one. yeah he was pretty much a star all year but he turned it up in the playoffs against the Timberwolves. But he was pretty much nonexistent against the Kings.

And is there any doubt that Mike Bibby has been THE man for the Kings these playoffs?

Also, add Baron Davis to the list. I think he's proven to be one of the top point guards in the league, and has proved clutch in these playoffs. Too bad Charlotte didn't have Jamal Mashburn at his side for the last round.

I would probably add Malik Rose to the list too, he kinda disappeared in some games but in some games he was incredible, i couldn't believe it was him.

If there is any way that the Kings will lose this series, it would be them constantly going to Webber
late in the game. He's made alot of bad decisions late in the game by taking wild shots and turning it over.
I think this is the main reason why the Lakers beat the Spurs, the Spurs went again and again to Duncan when
he didn't deliver.

Put the game in the hands of Mike Bibby's shooting and everything will be fine.

Though he has a lot off heart and immense talent he's not known for being one of the smarter players, especially during cruch time. Who can forget the NCAA Playoffs when he called a timeout when there were no timeouts left? Luckily for the Kings they have more than one clutch Player.

I had bibby on my fantasy team last year, so i already had a pretty good idea of his value. his numbers with the kings during the season were actually down, but yes, in the playoffs bibby has really established himself as THE MAN for the kings.

I think this has been a great postseason for Jason Kidd, Baron Davis (although his shot consistency left alot to be desired), Tony Parker (when did he turn "20"??? - excellent rookie!), and of course Bibby, who seems to be 'a natural' under pressure.

I'd also add Antoine Walker, who has probably got one the quickest/strongest baseline spin move in the nba.

Pierce had 1 good game against the nets, the rest is UNIMPRESSIVE! Some really terrible shot selections too. 'Toine's obviously the emotional leader of the team and has alot more court maturity than pierce.

Kobe's played great too, but I think he's shown that he's definitely NOT a basketball GOD and on par with MJ.[/b].

Kudo's to Doug Christie, and honorable mention to Aaron Williams. 🙂

Kobe is nothing without shaq. I want to see him on a team where he becomes the focus of the other teams defense.
When he gets doubled and tripled team every night like Jordan, Vince Carter, and any other player that he is compared to all the
time, then I'll give him some credit. Until then, he's just a talented guard who burns people 1 on 1. Lots of guards can do that.

You know not what you're talking about. I hate the Lakers, but when Shaq is out of the game, Kobe is always the center of attention. He never fails to impress. In game 5, with Shaq out the second quarter due to foul problems, Kobe lit the Kings up for double digits.

Who do the kings double in crunch time situations? Kobe Bryant. He's moreso 4th quarter man that Paul Pierce is.

Kobe's got ALOT to learn.

Anyone notice this...Kobe missed the game winner but his first mistake was letting bobby jackson up on him while he was passively letting time run off the clock, which in turn allowed jackson to knock the ball away when he started to make his move.

He should have backed him up alot sooner, and aggresively, and if jackson played tight, then spin and drive, but if jackson plays him loose, then he's got his turnaround jumper with plenty of room! Instead, he didn't even give himself time to get jackson off balance.

Kobe missed the shot but imo he could have gotten a much better shot, and with more space.

Bibby gets my vote. Hard to believe this is his first trip into the NBA playoffs. At first I thought it was just a fluke he outplayed Nash and Van Exel in the semi-finals, but after seeing him in action against the Lakers, he's the real deal!

He sure showed us by missing that game losing shot.

The Kings knew Kobe was going to handle the ball on the final shot. The Kings zero in on Kobe and he failed, what more is there to say?
Lighting it up for part of 3 minutes does not count and does not mean a thing. If he wants to proof himself, then he has to come into game after game where the opposing team routinely plan their defense to stopping them. This is what players like Jordan, Carter, Shaq, Kidd, Duncan, McGrady, ..etc have to deal with in every game. Until Kobe can show me the same, he doesn't deserve the benefit of the doubt. In the regular season when Shaq went down, Kobe routinely had games where he shot 30% from the field. Those were the games that teams came in with a game play centered at stopping Kobe, and in those situations more often than not he put up some very pathetic performances.

Don't believe me, look up the game all year where Shaq wasn't playing. You'll find alot horrible performance by Kobe.

i love kobe and all, but this one is highly debatable. pierce averages the most fourth quarter points in the nba playoffs (i saw it on a clip during the nets game). it would be interesting to see kobe vs pierce in the finals, but i'm rooting for the nets & kings 😛

Yaahhh!!! another spurs fan, thank you!!!! I hope next season they get rid of smith and porter and get some people to help out duncan and parker, and hopefully robinson will go out with a bang.
