CHICAGO (AP) -- Antonio Davis was ejected for going into the stands in overtime before Ben Gordon hit a game-winning jumper at the buzzer to lift the Chicago Bulls to a wild 106-104 victory over the New York Knicks on Wednesday night.

There was no physical confrontation, but several people could be seen pointing and shouting for several moments before security finally arrived and Davis was ejected.

During a timeout, Davis jumped over the scorers' table and ascended about ten rows of seats before the confrontation started. A group of people in the area of the confrontation were later escorted from the area by United Center security.

Knicks coach Larry Brown said Davis had gone into the stands because he saw his wife "fallling back," but didn't elaborate.

"That's his wife," Brown said. "That's entirely different. I was worried about Kendra. That's why he went in the stands, he saw her falling back.

"That thing that happened in the stands had nothing to do with the two teams. That's a man concerned about his family."

the guy who was allegedly heckling his wife must have shat his pants when 6'9" 250lb Antonio Davis confronted him.

Yep. I have no problem with what he did and the way he calmly handled the situation. Some other NBA players need to take note.

not sure if it helps, but WMP says the video codec is: MainConcept MPEG Video Decoder. there doesn't seem to be any audio though

it played ok for me. The audio was very low.

i agree anyone that heckles or harasses a players wife or family deserves whatever he gets from the player. its a good thing he didn't get the crap kicked out of him.
