uh-oh. this worries me more than the SAR signing. McInnis is a solid PG off the bench. with Kidd's knees being suspect, McInnis should see significant backup minutes. the Nets just became very, very close to the top tier Eastern teams. i want to see them play as a team before i think the East now has a big 4 (Indy, Detroit, Miami, and maybe NJ)

i'm going to hold off on saying their better than any of the top three (Detroit, Indy, or Miami) until i see how well Abdur-Rahim functions in NJ's princeton offense (they still run that, right?) and how well NJ's below average big men can play.

Wow, this is great! I was disappointed that they didn't get Keyon Dooling, but I like this move even better. Wo0t!

And for the "below average big men" comment... WTF are you smoking? Kristic is going to rock this year, IMO, and Shareef is below average? 😕

as it stands their big men are:

Nenad Krstic
Abdur-Rahim
Jason Collins
Cliff Robinson

Krstic has potential and SAR is good. but with backups of Collins and Cliff, they are below average compared to the big men in the Top 3 Eastern teams.

Detroit: Ben, Sheed, McDyess
Miami: Shaq, Zo, Haslem, Doleac
Indy: Jermaine Oneal, Dale Davis, Jeff Foster, Pollard, Croshere

I hope the Nets sign Davis.

NETS! W00T!

heat fans, you better watch out. last year, krstic averaged 10 ppg in regular season but was hot in playoffs against shaq and co. he poured in 16 ppg in that series! i'm pretty sure he'll make an huge improvement this upcoming year. i hope he will smoke shaq with at least twenty points.

my prediction starting five:
jason kidd at point
vince carter at shooting
richard jefferson at swing (small forward)
shareef abdur-rahim at power
krstic at center

go nets!
