good for him and he's gonna get decent money too. :)

actually, i'll bet he's happier with this contract than the one washington gave him and that he could never live up to. :)

kinda stupid of fans to blame him for the contract that management gave him. it's not like he ever dogged it. he was a steady and decent performer his whole career.

He's a solid player and Magic need some more talented muscle down low. Nice pick up.

:)

you mean someone is moving from west to east?

Nets, Pistons, Pacers, Magic, Hornets

i don't know, the east is starting to look ok. mb not as dominant as the west, but pretty strong and we haven't come anywhere near the trade deadline.

most players want to go to the east now because it's way easier to get to the finals. anyway, if i were howard i would've gone to the spurs. i mean orlando? comon, unless grant hill comes back, they really don't have a chance.

And if Grant Hill does come back, he'll only play in 5 or 10 games before his ankle turns to dust...

He always is a second/third/fourth/ option if he isnt on a low life team like the Nuggetts that he was on. Obviously when he was in Dallas Nash, Dirk, Finley are all better than him, but in Orlando, T-mac, and Gooden, will carry the load, and with him he will be 2/3 option which is a good thing for him, the Wizards and Heat were stupid for paying him that insane salary about 6 years ago.
I think its a good pick up..

I've seen him play and this guy is horrible. Total lack of contribution, makes Chris Webber look like a superstar.

I wouldn't say that at all. Tmac and Howard on one team is a nice combo, especially if the Magic's role players start to perform like they should. That being said, Howard is an overrated player, but still a good player.

drew gooden showed some flashes of brilliance during last year's playoffs.

with Juwan, Gooden, and T-Mac they have a good nucleus.

Howard's deal was too long (if the reports are true).

Minn and Detroit both only wanted 1 year deals.

Magic fans are gonna regret it after 3 years. He will be too old.
Don't let his numbers fool you, he is not that good. Being on a losing team can really boost your numbers.

Either way it is a good pickup, aside for the length of the deal.

OT: Minn is really screwed, Nesterovic is going to the spurs so that leaves them with the same team + cassel. With the increase of power in the west, they will never make it out of the first round. KG will leave Minny if they don't get out of the first round.
