I don't know if I've ever played a video game as much as I played NBA Jam on Sega Genesis. And now it's coming out for my Xbox... I can't wait! 😀

I used to play that in the arcade all the time... that's sweet that it's coming back! I always liked all the "hidden guys", programmers and stuff, you could use if you input certain initials etc.

I have the NBA JAM TE arcade game in my basement (4 player edition.) My friends and I are still obessed with the game. We play every Saturday in the winter when we can't go out and play basketball outside. I can't wait until the new NBA JAM comes out!!

Sounds cool to me. I always wondered why they didn't just come out with a yearly version of this game like they do every other sports game.

I hope they don't screw this up... I remember spending hours having NBA Jam competitions with my neighbors years ago on the Genesis. I think I only lost once or twice. 🙂

The arcade version of that game was fixed... I can't count how many times I was beating the computer big time for the first 3 quarters (which literally cost a quarter) only to have them come back and tie it on a full court last second shot with time running out, costing me another quarter for OT!

Yeah that computer assist was a bitch. I remember losing many times because the computer would sink full court shots at the buzzer.

On the Tournament Edition of the game there is an option in the BIOS (game options) to turn off computer assistance which takes care of that problem. I do agree that in the normal NBA JAM there was a huge problem with games turning out like that.

Hahaha thats awesome...

But I really wonder when someone is going to bring out something original and revoluntionary.

It seems like its even more recycling from the Great War between SNES and Genesis.

This game is a classic! They could recycle this game forever and I wouldn't get sick of it. The only bad part is the addition of the 3d perspective. When it comes to NBA JAM it's the simplicity that makes it such an awesome game. To me when you add 3D to NBA JAM you're taking away from the gameplay and simplicity that made it a classic.

Hahah Mike Izzulino. I think he went to St. Francis, PA if I remember correctly. He played for the Mavs, right?
