What are your league settings? That makes a huge difference.

How many players each night, what positions, what stats are tracked, and how many add/drops are you allowed?

Wow. That's a huge roster you are allowed to start. And starting two centers makes things interesting along with two utils.

In my last two years I've finished 2nd twice, and both years it came down to a tie breaker based on points scored for the week.

My overall strategy is to rank players with multi-position eligibility higher than than those without it. This is especially true for the PF/C positions. G/F are nice because they can play G/F/SG/SF. having that extra flexibility allows for more freedom in your lineups. The more positions you play though, the less important that it becomes.

For your particular league, I would particularly rank PF/C & Centers much higher than you normally would. Chris Bosh, Amare, Duncan, and Jermaine Oneal should get bumped up pretty high. Boozer and Camby are other options for you too. Only problem is that pretty much every one of them is either coming off of injury or very prone to injury so you'll have to assume those risks. Yao was a beast after the All Star break but his durability is in question too.

You'll want to reach long on good centers since there aren't many of them and you are allowed two of them a night.

My preference is to lean towards "jack of all trade" players rather than one stat wonders, but that's up to you. I made a great pickup of Diaw last year before he really was known. He was a stud. He basically was a triple double threat any night of the week, plus he could play any position besides PG 😀 It's guys like that make a great roster.

Ray Allen is contributing a disgusting number of threes, but I'd rather have Paul Pierce or Vince Carter contributing more rebounds and assists along with the extra elegibility.

Is this a live draft or an auto yahoo one?

Shawn Marion should always be at the top of your list. He's bulked up a little this year and has played great so far in the preseason. I'm sure by the end of the year he'll have another 20+ points, 10+ rebounds, 2 steals, 2 blocks type of a year.

it's the auto yahoo one, anything wrong with just the default list it gives me? or just I tweak it bit per some of comments I got on the board.
