Does anyone else see Kenyon Martin as a MAJOR SUPERSTAR to be??

he's improved his game a lot and he's what like 6'10??

I don't know... I don't really see him emerging full out and becoming a leader to the NBA championship.

I see him as a very good player (all-star caliber) who just doesn't have that next level in his game though. Kinda like Eddie Jones, Rasheed Wallace, etc.

mb

he's got a better attitude than Rasheed.

I really think it'll depend on whether or not Kidd stays in NJ. If kidd stays in NJ, KMart could seriously emerge (any superstar needs another to help him get to that status. I think mb Chamberlin is the ONLY superstar that got there alone).

Kidd to Kmart might be the magic to Worthy of the future. 🙂

I've seen a couple games and his outside the paint jumpshots needed ALOT of work. I'm surprised with his shooting percentage in some games lately...he must be hitting some more? It's good to see that he's cleaned his game up a bit this year and hasn't taken the same type of cheap shots like he did last year against mcgrady and malone too.

I like his quote on espn radio early in the week, or last week, talking about lebron james and players getting freebies in high school or college.

"No one gave me nothin when I went to cincinnati...they said 'the only thing we can promise you is a pair of shoes and a hard time'." 😀

Take away Jason Kidd, and he's just a rebounder.

even when he was acting up last season he was never like rasheed.

ultimately it's going to depend on his teammates. if Kidd stays, he could continue to develop into a great player.

I dont think he's 6'10 hes either 6'9 or 6'8.

Edit
He needs to keep practicing that outside jumpshot. I think he's bricking too many for my taste.

Is it me, or does he just look like a thug?

Anyways, I think he is about 6'7", but a tremendous leaper. Somebody said it before though, take away Kidd, and he's just a rebounder (if that).

I think rasheed and martin are two different types of players with two totally different types of issues. Both are very emotional and play on the edge sometimes, but Rasheed is more immature and can't handle the refs (altho I think I heard his t's are down this year?).

Martin plays like an animal but in a good way, altho loses control sometimes, sort of artest-ish...playing with the kind of intensity that you love but sometimes it gets the best of them and they go overboard occasionally. But kmart can be a star if he puts in the work and improves his game...it still seems a little raw right now. Atleast these are my impressions from the few playoff games I saw last year and a couple games this year.

Got to say tho, Rasheeds game is awesome. When he's on and focused, he's unstoppable. I can't see martin having an offensive game like that for a while.

I think Martin will end more like Ben Wallace than Rasheed Wallace.
Rebounder, solid defender and around 10-13 points a game.

KMart may never have Rasheeds OFFENSIVE game but man his D more than makes up for it. He can D Centers, PF, SF and even SG. he's got that much Defense intensity and speed.

I'd say he's more than a step above Ben Wallace for Offense. IF he has Kidd around, he could develop into a Malone type scorer, consistent from certain parts of the court and basically unstoppable with a few basic moves.

I have him in my fantasy basketball team and he has been very good to me.🙂

I believe he can be a great player with bit more seasoning. He can score from outside
and inside and is a great rebounder. Lately, he has had big scoring games without Jason Kidd.
