take for example the atlanta hawks, not one of the better teams by any stretch,

but they beat dallas and phoenix. their two losses are to NJ and Detroit.

so they beat two of the better teams from the west and lose to two of the better teams in the east.

obviously this is way to small a sample size, but 2 years ago, i don't think anyone could imagine that the hawks would be 2-0 against two of the better teams from the west this early in the season.

I'd say it's more balanced. I'm still in shock over the Celtics.

They're 2-0 now and leading Dallas 110-75 in the 4th quarter. :Q

ya, actually, i was going to post something about them in the OP too, but decided not to.

i actually like the synergy of those three players, all three are unselfish, KG is great for the cheap points, double digit rebounds, in todays game, with 5 minutes to go, all three have more than 5 assists. all three have scored 20+ points.

i don't see how the celtics don't finish very high in the east, mb conference championships for them.

The Suns did play without Amare, but if this game were played last year, it'd probably have been a cakewalk for them. 4 Hawks with at least 10 is impressive.

Taking a look at some of the other teams: The Knicks added one of the best PFs in the league, Boston added two superstars to their lineup and Orlando added Lewis. I think the East will be a lot more fun to watch this year.

The NBA season is simply too fucking long for me to care this early. PM me in February and ask again.
