NBA: Cavs cut player on eve of playoffs but will still get Ring if they win

He was cut three games left in the regular season.
The Cavs are now in the finals.
If they win, he still gets the championship Ring.

How many games do you have to play for a team to still get the Ring if you are cut?

All professional sports are full of stories like this. Some guys simply aren't good enough. They take their shot and miss. Some of the stories about guys that uprooted their entire life as teenagers and went to an academy for soccer and then don't make it are pretty sad.

The NFL pays for 150 rings to be distributed by the Super Bowl winning team. The team may distribute them however they wish. Should the team decide they want to give out more than 150 rings, they must pay for the cost of the rings after the 150.

So not only do practice squad members get rings but ball boys, trainers, secretaries, among others, probably get one also.

thats neat for nfl players.

but I wouldn't feel so great about getting the ring if I left a team the previous season.
