NBA Bull S***

Shaq was named starting center in the 2007 NBA All-Star game. The man up until this point has only played 5 games this year.

I hope the NBA changes how players get voted in after this.

Whine, whine. Moan, moan. The All Star game is a popularity contest for the fans. If they want to vote in Tyrone Lue, let them.

Who cares? The all-star game is a waste no matter who's playing. It is little more than over-inflated egos trying to out-do each other with each stylish shot.

And no, the voting process should never change. It has always been fan-voted. And it should always be. This is the *All-Star* game, not the "who's having one good half-season" game. If the fans want to see Shaq, then they should be able to see Shaq.

same stuff every year.

david stern allows the All-Star starting line up to be an popularity contest. And why not? it's an exhibition game and, as the owner of the league, wouldn't you want the players who will draw in the most fans to play? more fans = more money = more popular league. the rest of the team is comprised of coach-selected players who deserve to make it but weren't necessarily the most popular by the fans.

shaq starting IS a complete joke, but whatever.

The players know that it's a stupid popularity contest and don't take the voting personally. The real, less-glamorous honor comes from NBA 1st and 2nd team voting at the end of the year.

I know this because I talked to all the players before posting this.

Don't forget Steve Nash. The two time reiging MVP didn't get elected to the starting roster.

I blame the "Booyeah" Network for hyping up all the slam dunk highlight reels to the national audience all these years instead of focusing on solid gameplay.
