Artest for Stojakovic

Another source

Edit: personally I like the deal. Stojakovic is languishing in Sacramento right now anyway, so a change of scenery would be good for him too.

It'll be interesting to see how long it takes for something to happen with Artest again ...

Peja's contract is up after this year and it's unlikely that he'll resign with Indiana.

Although I wouldn't prefer either player on my team, Sacramento wins this one easily.

tough to say.

depends if Peja can play some defense in Carlisle's system. they could definitely use the shooting/scoring.

depends if Artest can stop being psycho and bring toughness to the Kings.

all the Pistons/Pacers rivalry seems to be dying away.....kinda sad.

Peja = no defense
Peja = NOT clutch (just like webber)
peja = no heart
peja = soft

Peja wanted to leave in the beginning of last year anyway. He wouldn't have resigned with the Kings anyway. In trading for artest the Kings are taking a gamble (like detriot with sheed a few years back). However, I doubt the gamble will pay off. Artest will go Artest again. :(

<- Kings fan.

I suppose since Peja's contract will soon expire that it isn't that much of a gamble for the kings. At least they got something for him ... though it is one of those ticking timebomb somethings they got :p Oh well, one more strike and I'd bet no one in the NBA would gamble on him again.

The deal is currently pending league approval. This should definitely spark some more trade talk amongst other teams. :D

this will be good for artest.

he'll get to play again. Wonder if the kings will be any good after the trade. They aren't much good now.

nah.

this deal was rumored since last season. i think the Pacers were leaving this as a Plan B, in case they couldn't find a better deal. don't think for a moment that LBird didn't contact anyone and everyone remotely interested in Artest.

This is a better deal for the Kings.....better till Artest breaks out with another temper tamtrum and demands a trade again.

Good trade for the Kings, I've watched nearly every game this year and Peja is simply dreadful. He has no shooting touch anymore, and he lacks any sort of passing, rebounding or defense. Even if Artest goes crazy again, they still have a valuable trading piece. And if he doesn't, then they will have made a huge coup getting one of the best players in the NBA.

Son of a bitch...just make him go there anyway, and trade his ass. You can get more value that Peja just by trading him.

Ron is probably going to reject a trade to any team other than the NY Knicks.

:laugh:

the lakers should now take the plunge and say yes to lamar for artest. after the sacramento game, where lamar drove for a layup with a 5pt lead and 20+ secs left in the game, i feel we do not need the waste of space called lamar.

Artest doesn't want to come to the Kings. The Kings have nixed the deal.

booooooo. Now the Kings are going to get nothing for Peja at the end of the year.

Ron is trying to force his way to the Lakers or Knicks. Likely the Lakers at this point. Where has Ron Ron been hanging out the past few weeks? What games has he been attending? Laker games. He wants to be in LA bad, but I'm still not sure he ends up there. Something tells me Larry Bird isn't doing a deal with the Lakers. Old rivalries die hard. As a Laker fan, I wouldn't mind him, but only if the Lakers don't give up too much. Right now, Ron's market value is at the lowest it's been ever.
