MANY TEAMS REMAIN! IF YOU WANT TO PLAY, CLAIM A TEAM TODAY!
UPDATED 11/17/09: Anyone interested in a league?
UPDATED 10/08/09: I received the game tonight and played a game using the Lakers against the Magic. In the end, I lost by 3. Here are a few things I noticed:
1. Graphics -- graphics are superb, as expected.
2. Commentary -- exceptional, as you could tell from the demo.
3. Game play -- game play is pretty interesting. I don't know if it is just me or if this is a recent trend in sports games, but it seems players in today's sports games just aren't as responsive as in past games. When playing D, your player seems to really be affected by inertia and it is hard to turn on a dime. I guess that is good or bad, depending on your style of play. Offensively, I seemed to really struggle with the outside shot unless I used Artest. It seems like I could hit just about everything with him.
4. Glitches -- I did notice an annoying glitch in the game and it happened twice. It was like a sudden build up of lag and all of a sudden, the computer player teleported a few feet ahead of where he should be. Hopefully it can be patched.
The game supports online leagues in a season format or a tournament format. You can select the number of teams in the league and the number of games. I am not sure if you can play vs. CPU in the leagues or if every team must be player controlled.
UPDATED 10/07/09: The game was officially released yesterday and I am waiting for my copy to arrive. Any feedback so far? We're hoping to get at least 10 players to join the league. RyanPaulSchaffer gave me the go ahead to release the Lakers for now, so they're available!
UPDATED 9/25/09: Come on folks, the release of NBA 2K10 is just around the corner and a few of us have expressed an interest in creating an online association. While we won't know all the details until the game is released, now is your chance to claim a team and sign up for the league. Please read this post for more instructions. As more details become available, I will update this post. Think of this as "pre-ordering" your team; if you decide not to get 2K10 or decide not to be in the league, you can release your team and we'll let someone else play it.
UPDATED 9/24/09: I'll keep this post updated with who claims what teams in the event that we do start a league. To claim a team, just post in this thread. Teams are assigned on a first come, first serve basis. If you claim a team and then decide you want another team, make another post and I will move you to the new team, assuming it is open.
Also, I am also not sure how the leagues might work in NBA 2K10, so if anyone does, correct me or add info as you see fit.
Oh, and by the way, before I forget -- we're discussing an Xbox 360 league, not a PS3 league.
