NB temps

The wimpy fan on my NB is dead, so its just a wimpy heatsink and case airflow cooling it right now. The included motherboard utility reads 66 degrees. Now, a few games seem to run slower than they should....am I getting thermally throttled or is it something else?

nForce 4, btw.

Was gameplay sluggish before the wimpy NB fan died? Otherwise, you basically just need to replace that NB fan.

I've seen the nForce4 actually melt down a northbridge fan that failed on an MSI board so I would replace it as soon as your can.

Zalman and Thermalright make some very good passive northbridge heatsinks that I've used and can recommend.
