NB problem - Soda spill

I have been trying to get a notebook for a friend up and running. I thought that it had a software issue, until he told me that some Coca-Cola got on it. The NB will just startup with a blank screen, and keep resetting itself, or sometimes it will actually make it into Windows (and then freeze after a couple minutes). I think the video card maybe shorted out, b/c it does some really strange graphics while attempting to start up. The spill wasn't on the keyboard, but some must have seeped in through the bottom. Any advice?

Yikes...not too much you can do here. If it is still in warranty, I'd advise your friend to send it back to the factory. Since he's asking you, I suspect it is out of warranty. The Coke probably did short something out or corroded some contacts. You could try opening it up and seeing if there's anything to clean. It may not be a visible or fixable problem so unfortunately your friend is SOL.
