I just got this program, and it's great. It shows your download speed, shows how much of a download you have left, speeds up downloads, and blocks ads! The ad-blocking (pop-ups, too) can be very attractive for modem users, though since I'm on DSL (one day and counting :)), it doesn't really affect my speed. Everything else is just icing.

Their website explicitly states that they do not collect info on your browsing or identification at all, but I was wondering if anyone knows if they're getting something out of this somehow. It seems like too well-made a tool (only one file!) to be a hobby, but I wonder how they got the money to spend all this time on it.

If you want to see if they are getting or sending any information to or from your computer you can open it, with nothing else open. Go to a command prompt and run a netstat.
