Yea, but that was a navigation system in a Range Rover. The navigation systems in most European cars BLOW in comparison to the Systems in Honda, Toyota, and Nissan.

I'm Partial to Honda navigation systems because Honda offers the largest navigation system screens in the industry, not to mention that it can interact directly with your cell phone in the new TL, which is awesome ;) I don't think I would ever use it in town, but it would be a cool feature to have when traveling outside of my normal area. Also because the Honda navigation has voice recognition, it's pretty easy to work with ;)

It satisfies the inner gadget whore that I am ;)

I don't see why you are so biased against them, since they are essentially just electronic maps. You logic doens't make sense. The same can be said when asking what you think about cars - if they are worth it, and I could reply with "If you're a dumbass who is too lazy to bike yourself......."

Main reason for me to get it is if I go into the City.

It's nice to find alternate routes. :)

Still considering it.

I do love the Acura Nav.

once you go nav, it's hard to go back. sooo convenient, but is it worth near 2k price tag? hmm, that's tough, and i opted not to get one on mine, but i love the one on my sister's car. lot better than printing out and trying to figure out where to turn via yahoo maps.

Get it if you're not very good with directions. Not talking about looking off a map and going from point A to point B. I mean if you're downtown at night with your lady and a couple streets are closed for construction, then you gotta find the right feeder road wherever that may be. The Navi will save you. My sense of direction is crap so a navi would have been the best option ever. I still regret not getting it for my TL.

If the choice comes down to an upgraded engine size vs a navigation system, go with the navigation system. For example, my dad's considering the FX from infiniti. I say get the FX35 with 280hp and the Navi system for the same price or less than the FX45 (310hp) with no navi.

Add in the fact you can do a lot more with the notebook and you've got a nice cheap GPS.

and how much for a new passenger side window after the smash-and-grab?
