setup my new dfi expert, was using the nvida lan port, went to some newsgroups and wanted to download but every download was corrupt.

so switched to the marvel port, and every download was fine.

did not install nav, active armour, or ide drives sw drivers.

i have hread some boards have the NAV shipped 'on' unless u install the software and then turn it off.

anyone else find this to be true?

so how can i safly install the nav firewall, turn it off and then unistall it.

Easiest way i found i was to uninstall the entire chipset drivers and reinstall them and select no to install the NAM.

i think i need to be clearer.

i said no to NAM. its not installed. i read it here, or hard forums, or firingsquad, or dfi-street. but now cannot find it, when some boards are coming with the hardware firewall turn on. with out even installing the software.

I did NOT install NAM
