Nice, i'm amazed at how quickly that cheetah gave up the kill. No wonder lions kill hyenas just for pure pleasure.

I'm pretty sure the cheetah just hadn't killed it yet. Thats why it had its teeth around the impala's neck before the hyena scared it off.

Cheetah's have always been my favorite animal. Magnificent creature. :thumbsup:

IIRC, cheetahs are enervated after a catch because of the effort to keep their speed, which doesn't leave much energy to defend their kills.
