naturally blue hair

out of the billions and billions of people that have been born, how come no one has ever had naturally blue hair? is it impossible even for a genetic mutation to cause this?

If I recall the pigment that gives your hair color is the same as what gives your skin color, and it's just how much of it you have. Although this doesn't explain redheads.

I love these questions. Brings back the old days of Anandtech when we could just roll with it. Nah, now we got science and knowledge and shit like that.

I do recall reading an article about an experiment where scientists observed mice growing blue hair follicles, so it's not as Jesus Christ-ish as you might think.
