Natural peanut butter

What do you guys think of natural peanut butter (even the smuckers kind) versus JIF, Skippy, etc.?

A co-worker had me try natural peanut butter and the first time or two I was just curious. Then i had it with a banana or on a chips ahoy cookie and now i am hooked. The other brands are so damn sugary now!

Natural peanut butter is MUCH healthier than regular peanut butter. Having said that, I would never eat it plain. I use it in my shakes, and it is great for that purpose.

We get both the Adams Natural creamy and chunky. I'm not a big fan of peanut butter so I'm probably not the most qualified, but I can't taste a difference in peanutty goodness.

no for one reason... i found out that natural peanut butter has more bug parts (higher to the FDA regulation) than skippy or JIF so i eat those only.
(its all in my head, but i swear i can feel me crunching down on little aentenna with the natural kind)
Plus, i like the smoothness and texture of the other stuff better. This is one of the few things i do not like "all natural"

it is all definitely it your head! It is better for you even if it has bug parts. Bug parts means more protein 😛

I'm not a big fan of peanut butter. I do have a jar, I just don't eat it much.

If you want really natural peanut butter, get a jar of peanuts at Costco for $5.99 or $6.99 and throw it in your food processor for 3 or 4 minutes to make fresh peanut butter.

BTW, I do like peanut butter cookies.

Natural? As opposed to... unnatural? Synthesized and concocted in a chemistry lab? Or supernatural, transported from The Beyond via some weird interdimensional portal like that cube thing from Hellraiser?

I found out a few months ago that I was allergic to peanuts, but before that I bought only Maranatha organic peanut butter. Jiff, Skippy, Peter Pan, etc. taste absolutely disgusting to me after having tasted proper peanut butter. To me, they're all far, far too salty and sweet. They bare little resemblance to actual peanuts compared to the "natural" kind.

Skippy Super-Chunk is my favorite & I don't eat enough peanut butter to care a whole lot about which is healthier.

I make my own peanut butter.

One jar of lightly salted peanuts in the Cuisinart food processor for 3 minutes. It's a cinch and I know what the ingredients are! 🙂
