I posted a long-winded rant in that thread yesterday about cost and efficiency for this class of beer. Simpler Times is the obvious winner for those drinkers that actually hate beer (light beer drinkers, shotgunning, just want to get wasted, etc).

at $2.99/six pack and 6.2%, you can't do any better.

Looks like High School beer. Cheapest stuff with the highest alcohol content is what we always went for in High School of course.

Label is pretty cool though. Very ragtime.

One time, we rounded up 50 or so bucks and sent my buddy/roommate/guitar player to the strip for a keg of Keystone. We played a show that night, and had the afterparty at our house. Dumbass came back with a pony keg of Coors. Floated it in about 20 minutes, after a couple of frat dudes tried to steal it. Dumbass. I'll never forgive him for that shit. We could have had almost three times as much beer for the same amount of money!
