Its nice to see Nato admit they were totally in the wrong in killing innocent civilians just once. When there are hundreds and perhaps thousands of similar incidents that inevitably occur with drone attacks.

We in the USA would never permit such attacks on our soil, the US anger over Ruby Ridge is still a fresh and raw wound. Or I could mention Waco that has been partly whitewashed over. As Leon Pinhead tells us we will win over the people of Afghanistan and Pakistan by using such tactics in the two years remaining to go, in what already amounts to the longest American war in US history.

Someone's ass is in a sling for clearing fires on this one.

Though in this climate, after seeing our embassies and consulates overrun, after the attack on Camp Bastion costing 2 US marines their lives and 4 coalition deaths in 2 separate green on blue attacks in the past 24 hours, sympathy isn't exactly running high for the Afghans. We're all turtled up with itchy trigger fingers wondering if the incident in Laghman will be the match that ignites this powder keg.

Hours after the initial claim they had time to look over the videos, verify the truth, pass that truth throughout the chain of command, and then admit they did kill civilians by mistake. No problem with that chain of events. I wonder if we will ever know what caused them to clear the shot? What did they see which made them think this was a gathering of bad guys?

I am happy to see they are now admitting mistakes like this. I am sure there are only a handful of others like it they did not admit to, but it is good to see they are now admitting it.

They were maybe not dancing in the strets in Israel, but still inside government buildings Israel has ever since been exploiting 911 for purely Israeli purposes. And ironically, it was only Iran who took to the streets to demonstrate support for America for being sneak attacked.

You are right Broheim, wait a minute as the USA has now spent at least 3 trillion over reacting to one act of terrorism, and with nothing to show for it now or ever. As we now have more angry potential and actual terrorists than when we started.

The Israels must be stupid to take advantage of 9/11 inside buildings. Egyptians and Lantana were much more effective.

Who will bell the Assad cat, as Arabs from Abbas, to Egypt, and Turkey say its neccessary, but when it comes time for the EU, Nato, the USA, Russia with the greater military power to stand up, they ALL Henny Penny say not I. But when it comes time to shelter Syrian refugees, only Turkey stands up and says Henny Penny I will.

In short Lanyup your analysis is supreficial and FOS. As too many people fail to intervene to stop Assad war crimes ongoing, as we content ourselves in saying Assad will fall anyday now and anyday now, as the real question is will Assad fall before or after he has succeeded in killing 90% Syrian population first?

As the entire world international community can only be depicted as chickenshit rides again. How many more Syrians will we permit Assad to murder? An infinite number appartly as we all pretend we are fine human beings.

What specifically would you like the US to do in Syria, while keeping in mind Russia's in country presence? The Russian Federations only military base outside of its borders is in.... Syria. Which of course greatly complicates any action we, or a coalition, wishes to take.

Keep the hard questions out of the picture.

LL knows that the UN can not do anything as long as Russia is protecting Syria.
But ignoring that allows finger pointing at the rest of the UN.

NATO admitted that it had killed Afghan civilians in an airstrike early Sunday morning, hours after saying there was no evidence of civilian deaths.

And that is why we will never win the hearts of the people.

War? That would imply trying to win militarily when that had already been established back in 2001. It says nothing of the 'nation building' effort taking place. Or the well understood and explicitly high cost on our soldiers.

We have 55,522 casualties invested in these countries. Who says we can leave? Who says they are allowed to go back to the way things were? Who says we've killed both our peoples FOR NOTHING?

Our leaders are completely devoid of intelligence if they do not admit or understand the colossal !@#$ up involved here. When they do not act in our interests, it greatly underscore the need to remove them from office. Lest they continue to prove their 'worth' here and elsewhere in society. How much longer can we afford that?

For them Muslim on Muslim violence is alright, but if an infidel even dares say anything bad they act like idiots, killing each other and cutting off heads

Those who are decrying the Muslims for being more accepting of Muslim on Muslim violence than on outsider on Muslim violence are not thinking clearly.

It is always worse when an outsider slaughteres your people.

Anybody else find it extremely strange that a "culture" which refuses to allow women out in public without a male chaperon apparently sends gangs of them out at night to gather wood?

No. They do all the grunt work in their society. They plow the farms, harvest the crops, cook the food, walk miles to get the water, etc. It allows the men to spend their days squating in the road chatting about how much they hate America. I don't know how many times I've seen women struggling to carry large\heavy objects while the men look on or taunt & hit them.

More more Muslim characterization. Sure there are some Muslim countries who are rather primitive, but many are quite modern. Don't dress their women in burkas, or hiding their faces in viels or scarfs, and have their females working in the professions. Most of Pakistan is as modern as the USA, and Pakistan and other muslim countries have had a female as head of State.

Its also absurd, to always cite Muslim countries like Somalia, Yemen, and Afghanistan as typical of Muslims, when Saudia Arabia, our great American ally has arguably the worst females human rights record in the world.

As Nebor use defective reasoning, saying if one Muslem forces his wife to wear a burka, all Muslims do. Do we run around saying of the USA, if we have a bunch of white supremists and a pile of weird cults, all Americans are like that?

You truly believe this steaming pile, don't you?

Face it, the native Muslim world is extremely primitive on the whole.

I dont think I have seen more ignorance, Pakistan is not modern at all, most people have a backwards view and hate Christians
