National Geographic vs. Discovery Channel

i say equals because both have shows that cover so much, some shows are great on DC, and some are great on NGC.

DC has a more modern feel, while NG is more historic.

Both are great channels...but Discovery has the edge for me.

Only got History Channel, A&E, and Discovery here. No NGC. Weak.

NGC, History, Discovery (Science namely), and International History channels are all great. I couldn't do without any of them.

NGC is better than Discovery, but both are pretty sh!tty. History Channel is becoming moreso as well. Both channels used to be so much better, but then they adopted the Mythbusters etc. approach on Disc dumbing down their shows tremendously and the only thing NGC ever shows is stuff about building either an offshore oil rig or a big bridge.

Discovery Science, Discovery Times, and History International are much better channels that haven't dumbed their shows down yet, but nothing beats PBS (Nova, Nature, etc.). PBS >>>>>>>>all.

I disagree with the NGC and History channel part, but 100% on the Discovery channel.

PBS has some exceptional programming. It's too bad there isn't more of it.
