They really gotta fix email..
I was thinking that if they have some sort of registry and just made a whole new email protocol that was handled with only one company and built it into all email clients, then they could get rid of spam since all email addresses would have to be registered. If any were being offensive (mass spams), then they could be dropped and boom.. no more spam. Spammers would not be allowed to re-register.

Charities and surveys I don't really mind that much if I have time.
But wouldn't telemarketing spammers start hanging up on you if the "do not call" list goes into effect? Otherwise, how are you going to file a complaint if you don't know the info of the company that called you?

Best way to get FOP guys to leave you alone is to ask them what % of the money they take in actually goes to buy the vests and stuff they mention to you. That shuts them up pretty quickly since it's usually an embarassingly small number.Originally posted by: conjur

Heck...sometimes they are the worst! Esp. the local FOP. Last guy who called was quite obstinant...I finally just hung up on him.
Right now, a new protocol is the only thing that can stop spam. I know there's talk about it, but good luck getting everyone to switch from SMTP.Originally posted by: brxndxn
