I thought Congress had to pass all spending bills???

We were talking about this survey/study of car companies and the motorvehicle that was most made in America was built by a foreign company! This says something about our economy. It is time we started examining how we can make more American Made products built by Americans, so we can employ more Americans.

Most working Americans can not affect what happens to the economy except by changing their buying patterns. However, if there are no American Made products, how do we buy them?

Why is 1995/1996 and 2003/2004 purple?
The chart looks to lag by two years.

The Senate was controlled by Democrats from June 2001 till Nov 2002. That might explain the 03/04 purple thing.

I have clue for the 95/96 thing. A mistake perhaps.

Even if we correct the colors the numbers still look good for the GOP v Democrats.

.. which is no more to the point than the fact that gold spray-painted crap looks better than ordinary crap. It's all crap.. so stop spewing bullshit by saying one is better than the other.

If the GOP was serious about cutting spending they'd have cut it a lot more than they did when they had the power to do so.

Democrats refuse to cut social welfare programs, Republicans refuse to cut farm subsidies and defense spending. Each has their sacred cows. What part of that is so difficult for you to understand?

Everything needs to be cut... not just the other party's pet spending priorities.

Oh, that's right... I forgot... You're just a partisan shill :rolleyes:

This thread is humorous to say the least...
You "not" see the trend here so bluntly obvious in the "graphs"???
Republicans create the disaster, and the democrats do what is necessary to attempt to recover.
Red=Disaster, Blue=Recover. Red=Disaster, Blue=Recover. Red=Disaster, Blue=Recover.
No free lunch GW B. Same goes for you Ronnie R.
Maybe if the "red" guys had been true to conservatism ideology... oh well, whats the use?
Just hilarious...
