yes, a pathetic game indeed, but that is definately NOT what MD has to offer. They just played like crap last night. A combination of KS slow paced game and first time appearance probably had somethign to do w/ it.... but definately horribly played.

Now, look back on the UMD/UConn game... now that was some good basketball.

<< If that's the best the NCAA has to offer then it's a good thing the Pro's represent us in the Olympics. Both those teams suck hard. I didn't see one player on the floor that looked like they had a future in the NBA. I've seen High School Games played better than that debacle last night. oOnly word that comes to mind when describing that game last night is "Pathetic" >>

while i agree with you that last nights game was really terrible, saying that not one player on the floor has a future in the NBA shows you know nothing about basketball. Juan Dixon will be a first round pick next year. Lonnie Baxter will play in the NBA and Chris Wilcox is rumored that if he entered the draft this year, he would definately go first round, and probably in the top 15.

And you do huh? Hahaha. I've only been following Basketball since the late 60's when the real top notch teams like the John Wooden's UCLA teams were winning NCAA Championships with Lew Alcindor (Kareem Abdul Jabar), Keith(Jamal) Wilkes and Bill Walton. But you might be right about a couple of those on the Floor last night making the Pro's as Backups. Of course that says more about how sh!tty the talent has become more than about their talent. I guess we can thank the rules allowing underclassmen to jump to the NBA so the talent in the NCAA isn't and won't ever be aqain at the level it use to be.

ok so i should have said you know nothing about basketball TODAY. 😛 but yeah i agree with ya. i think there is less talent. the game has changed so much though. one thing i see is free throw percentages continue to go down (for the most part). if a shooter (a la Jason Williams of Duke) doesn't come off a screen and catch and shoot, he can't make the shot. there are very few jump shooters in the game anymore and players like Shaq just use size (which i realize is an advantage). pure talent is rare in basketball and i completely stopped watching the NBA because of the repetativeness of it.

OK, that's probably true. What I do know I don't like.

Wilcox wasn't really the flow of this game, but he was a monster in the Kansas game.

I think he'll be the best NBA player out of the bunch. Dixon is smooth, but he's too small to be a force.
