NAT with PPPoE

OK, here is my situation:

I have a Windows 2000 Server with 2 network cards (one for the internal network and one for the internet). I need this to act as a gateway using Network Address Translation. The problem is that I have Earthlink DSL which uses PPPoE to make its connection through the NIC that is connected to the DSL modem. When I got to set up NAT in Routing and Remote Access, it does not recognize the PPPoE connection as an interface (Im guessing because it is a virtual connection).
Does anyone know if what I want to do is possible? I've set up NAT before when my external NIC was my actual internet connection (not PPPoE), and it was pretty easy.

Thanks in advance.

u could use an old 486 as a PPPoE router and run Freesco (mini linux). itd be a cheap setup and u wouldnt need software or even keep your windows box on. the router wouldnt need a keyboard or monitor, just put in a corner and let it work.

You could buy a Linksys 1 port router for $50 which supports pppoe and use that. Then you can hook your server into that and still use your server, or just use the Linksys router's NAT and DHCP server.

thanks for the input guys. I wound up putting a DLink router that supports PPPoE between the servers external nic and the dsl modem. I set up NAT on the server and it works like a charm.
