For those that have been to the races?

I?ve spent the last 3 days out at PIR and have had a great time. The best thing I like about it is the great pictures I?ve been able to take with my pit pass, and the autographs I?ve been able to get. The actual races so far have come in 2nd.

Tomorrow is the big race but there will be no practices or qualifying. What will the drivers be doing? Any autographs? When will they show up?

I don?t want to go out there early like I have been, and have nothing to do until the race starts.

I've been going for the past 4 or 5 years now and it's always loads of fun. We go to Michigan, though. Basically, we just tailgate for the morning, head to the races, then go back to the motor-home after a few more hours of tailgating. I wouldn't bother with autographs because most of the drivers won't be doing that. I don't have any other suggestions, but enjoy the race!

ps: In case you don't know, definatly get earplugs before the race starts. We sit in the front row and it's LOUD. Also, if you're near the front, don't wear a white shirt. Lots of rubber and debris.

I got tickets to the NCTS on Friday and the NBS today. It is defiantly loud. I had to wear ear plugs. They?ve all been high up with nice views, including tomorrow?s race.

Friday was a blast. There was hardly anyone there compared to today and tomorrow of course. I hung out in the pits for about 6 hours taking pictures and getting autographs.

Quite a few drivers were signing as they walked out to their cars for qualifying. I got Greg Biffle, Larry Foyt, Joe Nemechek, Ryan Newman, Brian Vickers, Ward Burton, Casey Mears, Rusty Wallace, and Scott Wimmer. There were others, but I didn't get a chance to get theirs.

With no practice tomorrow, there won't be much to check out until the race starts. That's pretty much what I was asking.

I live right next to the track... rather hang out there than tailgate.
