This probably isn't a smoking gun, but hopefully this will lead to proof that life once existed on Mars. Personally I think that Mars was just like Earth is now millions of years ago, and millions of years from now Venus will be like Earth is now and so on.

Or in can be that 'significant findings' = 'never has, does not have, never will have water'.

Actually it cant mean that because they already know it has water locked in the polar caps below the froze CO2.
