Watch on 1080p obviously.. my jaw dropped a few times during this video.. makes me want to watch "Sunshine" again :D

"February 11, 2015 marks five years in space for NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory, which provides incredibly detailed images of the whole sun 24 hours a day. Capturing an image more than once per second, SDO has provided an unprecedentedly clear picture of how massive explosions on the sun grow and erupt ever since its launch on Feb. 11, 2010. The imagery is also captivating, allowing one to watch the constant ballet of solar material through the sun's atmosphere, the corona."

Pretty impressive stuff. Really shows how...helpless and unimportant we really are, in the overall scheme of things.

Space is an amazing place. The magnitude of sizes, temperatures, speeds, etc are mind boggling.

First of all that K is for Kelvin...5,778K is around 10,000F...and the surface is actually one of the coolest parts of the Sun, core is over 27,000,000F and the outer Corona around 3,500,000F
