Nas and my Windows 8 Machine - Question

Is it better to "Map network drive" so my drive/folders show in windows that are on my NAS, or "Add network location?"

Any pros/cons with either approach?

I prefer mapping network drives to a drive letter. But in general there isn't a lot of difference.

I also prefer mapping a drive.

However if you are going to be running backup software to the NAS use the IP-address instead of the mapped drive.
