Narrowed to two receivers

So I've been in the market for a new receiver for a bit now, and I have narrowed it to two. I'm looking at the Pioneer VSX 1021-K and the Yamaha RX-V667. Anyone have any thoughts on the two either way? It sounds like the Yamaha has the best audio quality. Pioneer has AirPlay which I would love but it is useless to me since I won't pay the $150 for the WiFi dongle and can't reach ethernet to where it is. I'll end up buying an Apple TV regardless more than likely. Both are almost identical in price, $319 vs $329 respectively. Let me know if you guys have any experience with either/both. Thanks!

I would go with the Yamaha, but Im a Yammy fan boy. The Yammy does have a better DACS IMHO. Audioholics did a good review on the Yammy you can read also. The Yammy also has 2 seperate power supplies (one for analogue one for digital) which, I believe, the Pioneer doesnt have.

The one other negative I'm gathering from the Yamaha is the royal pain it is to upgrade the firmware. I hate that you have to track down a CD player and hook that up to upgrade it, and thats assuming you burn it right in the first place.

You can use any wireless network bridge to connect the Pioneer VSX-1021-K to your wireless network. You can find them for under $50.

The Yamaha uses the TI-Burr Brown PCM1681 (105db SNR) while the Pioneer uses the Wolfson WM8728 (106db SNR). I don't think there's a significant enough difference between these two on paper that would suggest one is better than the other.
