I admit that I haven't watched the movie yet. Only seen about the last 5 minutes when it was playing already when I was visiting someones house.

It didn't seem all the great to me to have much desire to see it yet, but there is already 2 more movies for it coming out. Is it that much better watching the entire movie?

How can you tell if a movie is all that great or not by seeing only the last 5 minutes of it?

I can't, hence the question.

I loved the books when I was a kid but I got bored during the movie. Not that it wasn't well done, but the whole story is kind of aimed at children and I guess it doesn't appeal to me any more.

Am I seriously the only one who feels the books became more and more unreadable as they went on? By the 4th book or so, I was so completely lost, and by the last book it really seemed C.S. Lewis was simply dropping acid right before he wrote every page

I read them all in the third grade (or some time around there, maybe fourth, I dunno), and don't remember having any such problems.

Are you sure that wasn't your Ritalin running out?

hmmm. Maybe you should go back to Peter Cottontail.

Anyway. I think the movies are going to progress like the books did. The first one is the most innocent in scope. And any dramatic scenes weren't really involved in the typical CS Lewis way. As the books progress in dark situations, so will the movies.
Prince Caspian starts out pretty damn good. Hopefully the movie won't water it down.
