Erm...i watched this last weekend and i'm confused..
So Kathy is the girl he saved?...or did Henry(ray liotta) know her from somewhere before?
She has been trouble a lot since then Henry has been helping her. That widow is Kathy=girl he saved?
Is he in love with her or just wanna look after her?

Why does Jasonpatrick seem pissed at Henry in the end?...i mean isn't it noble of Henry to wanna
cover up for the dead cop to help Kathy? I mean whats the urgency?...So Henry wanna make the 2 black dudes
seem like the killer, so what?...its wrong and all but its not like he's such a monster...

i dunno...am i missing some crucial thing here?

i just watched the movie tonight and thought it was awesome. definately worth the rent. i may even buy it. as for the questions...

*spoilers*
yes kathy is the girl he saved. her file was protected in their database, so you knew something was up with her. i think he was just looking out for her. the guy that had her did some pretty messed up stuff, and he was just trying to make up for it, i guess.

he was pissed at him for how he went about it. he did so much to cover everything up then pinned it on 2 innocent guys. there was nothing noble about it. the cop was a junkie and he would rather kill himself than get cleaned up and have a life with his family. henry was more concerned with trying to make kathy and the kids think mike was a great guy. kathy had been in trouble with junkies and being a junkie all her life, i don't think he wanted her to see her husband like that.

Slycat, you might want to put SPOILERS in the title for those who haven't seen the movie. That said:

I just watched it about 10 minutes ago. Kathy is the girl Henry saved and who ended up getting married to Calvess. From what I gather, Ray Liotta just wanted to look after her, but obviously wanted to keep it under wraps. This explains why he got so pissed off at Jason Patric for asking Kathy questions without him (Ray Liotta) present.

I guess on the one hand, it's natural for Ray Liotta to want to cover up for his partner and Kathy, but the way he went about it was wrong, although the guys he wanted to frame for it weren't totally innocent either.

All in all, I thought it was a pretty good movie.

Um, no. He wanted to cover it up so Kathy could get the full pension. A suicide cop's family gets no pension. A cop who is killed in the line of duty has full benefits for his family.

I thought the movie made this clear?

Yes. It was spelled out pretty clearly at the end that Ray Liotta fudged the evidence so that Kathy would get the pension.

I thought this thread was a "Not Another Religious Chapel" or something. You should post "MOVIE: NARC, *SPOILERS* I don't understand...
