Napster Etiquette

Ugh. I want to go to bed (and shut down my PC) but someone is downloading something.

The transfer is very sloooooowwwwww....

What do I do? Just go to bed and leave the computer on?

I just started playing with Napster last week.

Turn it off. He's stealing from you...don't you know that?!

No, what you do is disconnect but leave Napster open. He'll finish downloading but nobody else will be able to download. If you've got a phone connection the net, your ISP will most likely cut you off after some period of idleness so you won't waste much time.

disconnect but leave current uploads going. once they finish downloading, napster will exit automatically, and you can sleep well knowing that you are a sharing person

If it's <1KB/sec just shut down. I can't stand when someone is downloading a 12 meg song from me at 0.32KB/sec, I just close Napster.

i think napster has a feature where you can log off from the server so no more people will download from you but you can let the current person finish the download...

if the transfer is really really slow but the song is a popular one then disconnect him/her, s/he can download it from someone else

Geez! everytime i think i'm going to be the first one to reply i always end up being beat by like 4 other people...
