This whole imus thing got me thinking about the word nappy. Its not a word i use, the only other time i've heard the term was reading an artical about Napster's founder Shawn Fanning. I believe the orginal articlewas either rolling stone or wired (its been a few years). Napster was his nickname, named after his "nappy" hair he would keep under this hat.
nappy. Thats what he called, thats what his friends called it.
7+ years later nappy is now considerd a racial slur?
nappy = black people
napster = stealing music
therefore black people steal music!
To bad jesse and al weren't there to march against the racially motived peer2peer file sharing network oh so many years ago....it may have prevented the hurt feelings people have today.
