6 hours of sleep per night finally wore me down today after doing some exercise. So I took a nap- 5:30 to 9:45. Now I'll be up to all hours 'cause I can't sleep... and I've got a test in chemistry tomorrow. Woot.

I used to nap alot... Now since I started my job I've gotten on a really good schedule that doesn't include a nap :) Napping makes me lethargic for the rest of the time I'm up.

I nap two, three four times a day, every day.

Any time, any place, anywhere, I will be ready to answer the call

well 4 hours is kinda ridiculous, but napping is my FAVORITE part of my day. usually i take a ~2 nap every afternoon/evening, some smaller catnaps throughout the day

I'm more energetic if I can sneak a nap in the early afternoon. (Of course, being unemployed--it's not difficult to sneak a nap, or two, or seven.

Gov't needs to legislate SIESTA!

I woke up at 7am today after not having slept well last night. I took a "nap" at 1:45pm and didn't wake up until 4:45pm.

I am screwed. I will never get to sleep tonight.

thats why you take a light nap. for maybe an hour. or a "power nap" for 15 minutes.

though it takes me so long to fall asleep i can't do either.

Napping make me more alert during the day BUT it is kind of disrupt my night sleeping as I couldn't get into sleep eariler when I nap in the afternoon and as result, feeling very sleepy next day. So its bad to me.

I have a natural tendency to want to nap in the afternoons, I've actually been fighting the urge to since 4PM (now 8PM on the west coast). It messes up my sleep schedule every time I do, so I fight it as best I can.

I hear you brother.

What's with people taking short naps? Maybe I need to flash my body's BIOS but I don't see a time delay option. I sleep till I'm not tired anymore.

It's great.

Tip to get back to sleep for good for the night: Have a double shot of straight rye. Works like a charm for me. You don't get drunk or even start feeling it, but it knocks you right out.

napped from 5 to 8:30 today

i'm skrewed for sleep tonight, so i'll be pr0nning and playin bf vietnam all night (since my 'worst thing you've ever done' thread finally died)

holy crap there are a lot of nap fans here! I LOVE napping - my girlfriend always yells at me but then she takes a nap the next day. Oh well.

I nap all the fscking time and I love it.

I'll finish something and be so completely happy that I can now go lie down and just sleep for an hour or so . . . . I love napping.

And I can go from napping to wide awake in well under a second. Its uncanny. I can go from deeply asleep to wide awake very quickly, too.

I used to have problems sleeping, but alcohol solved that quick and easy

Down 8 shots in 15 minutes about an hour before you want to sleep, read Anandtech for 15 miniutes, then turn on soothing music with the lights off while you lay in bed... if you're not out with 30mins drink more and repeat
