napping at work

I like to take about a half hour nap around 1 or 2 oclock. I normally go in around 7 or 8, and leave around 4.

Anyone else nap at work? I find that i am a LOT more productive in the latter part of the day if i take a nap. Otherwise I just sit there trying not to fall asleep.

i nap when i have to come in early on mondays, usually take a nap from 6am to 730am when people start coming in to my dept 😛

I take naps during my lunch break sometimes, just gotta be sure to set the alarm on the cell phone.

I used to have my secretary take all of my calls every day , and then I'd go in my office and turn off the lights , and kick back in my chair for an hour or so to refresh my brain.
Now at my new job , I've got no secretary , and no office of my own , so I go home at lunch ( 3-6 minute commute ) and take a 45 min nap.
I'm 30 years old I might add. And I love this rest time that I get.

I dont really need it during the day. I find if I take a nap during the day I cant get to sleep until pretty late that night, which requires me to take a nap the next day and the cycle continues.
Rather then get into that ugly cycle (Which could potentially get me fired) I make a point to go to bed at a decent hour.

Now, I work days currently. At my old job wheree I worked graveyard shift? Ohhhh buddy, it was on. Longest "nap" I ever took was almost 7 hours.

And I've seen some sack out longer then that! :Q

I made a point to have naptime between 3 and 5. I shot for an hour nap if possible.

If I take a lunch then sometimes I nap afterwards. I?ve perfected the art of sleeping upright in my office chair.

I do it every other day. Of course I own my own shop so who's gonna bust me? I also don't leave until 7 or 8 most nights, so it evens out.

When I was working 7:30-4:30, I would use my 15-minute break (and the unused portion of my lunch hour) for powernapping.

if i need to, i will open up a binder or something so it looks like i'm reading. i try to keep my head bobbing to a minimum.

I don't intentionally nap. I fell asleep before a class one time, and woke up to 50 students laughing at me, but that's the only time I've fallen asleep during work (not including field research).

You guys need to sleep more at night😕

I've seen quite a few people fired over the years for being found asleep at work.
