Haven't seen Sideways, but from the clips I'd say it shouldn't be compared to ND. The 2 are completely different types of Movies. ND is more like Ferris Buellers Day Off(still a bad comparison), or some other Teen Comedy with whacky/unique characters. Sideways is more an Adult movie with more Normal people in unusual situations. I think there's room to enjoy both and to view both as equals for what they are.
